Hair biz will help Macmillan

Westbourne-based Simone Thomas Salon and Crowning Glory Hair are set to host a charity coffee morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support’s national fundraising campaign: ‘The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’. However, not only will they host the event, but all takings the salon make through their services on the day will be donated to the charity while all staff have agreed to donate half of their day’s wages too.

West Moors Parish Council has declared the refurbished Oakhurst play area in Shaftesbury Road, West Moors, officially open.
A £40,000 facelift, funded fully by West Moors Parish Council, has seen the installation of new, state-of-the-art play equipment, some of which is fully inclusive, and has been designed to appeal to children under 12 years of age.
