Visiting restrictions for Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Hospitals have been modified slightly.
Fiona Hoskins, deputy chief nursing officer said that although there are Covid-19 patients in the hospitals, restrictions have been relaxed.
Where a patient is nearing the end of their life, up to four visitors will be able to spend time with their loved one.
Also one visitor from a patient’s household or bubble may visit someone who has been an inpatient for seven or more days and has had two negative Covid tests.
There are three other exceptions to the no visitor rules.
1. One birth partner and one partner are permitted for the 20 week scan.
2. One parent/guardian is allowed in paediatrics.
3. And visitors who are required to make decision on behalf of patients who do not have capacity to do so themselves.
