A 19-year-old man from Poole was reportedly robbed of an e-scooter at around 4.45pm on Tuesday 6 April.
The victim was walking while pushing the vehicle in the area of Godmanstone Close and Sherborn Crescent when he noticed two men walking toward him.
It is reported that the two men shouted abuse at the victim, before taking his e-scooter. The victim tried to get it back, but was allegedly punched in the face.
One of the men reportedly pulled what is believed to be a knife out of his pocket and asked for the key to the e-scooter.
An 18-year-old man from Bournemouth and a 19-year-old Poole man were arrested on suspicion of robbery. They have been released on police bail while enquiries continue.
Police Constable Liam Moss, of Dorset Police’s Priority Crime Team, said: “I would urge residents or motorists to check their home CCTV systems or dashcams for any relevant footage to assist my enquiries.
“Finally, I am keen to hear from anyone who has seen an Evomotion folding Electric Scooter 2000W for sale locally in unusual circumstances.”
