No wonder Ferndown looked so colourful this year – Ferndown in Bloom, sponsored by Haskins Garden Centres, generated a lot of interest and the results are just in.

Some were spindly, some were flower-heavy and some were like Jack’s beanstalk and disappeared into the sky. 16ft boat stolen in Hamworthy

Thieves have stolen a 16-foot boat from its mooring. It was taken between Sunday 30 August and Sunday 20 September from a mooring in Poole Harbour near to Lake Road, Hamworthy. The Isla Skiff is green above the water line and pink below, with a cream interior and pine seats. The sails were not onboard.…
