West Moors Parish Council Legacy Award is offering the opportunity for a young person to receive an award of up to £1,000 in 2015/2016.
The award was set up three years ago, to commemorate 2012 as a special year celebrating the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and the London Olympics.

Trinidad Village development continues to grow

The construction of new extra care apartments on Rossmore Road in Poole is continuing to move forward, with the development on schedule to welcome its first residents in summer 2016.
A 28.5m high crane has become a feature of the local skyline as work continues on the block of 54 apartments with communal facilities. Once complete, Trinidad Village will provide much-needed extra care housing in Poole, as well as becoming a focal point for the Rossmore community.

Students pay tribute to fallen of First World War

Two Bournemouth students were given a great honour when they were asked to place a wreath at the Menin Gates in memory of all those who fought in the First World War.
The students, Maisie Dillamore-Ward and Andrew Hyde, laid the wreath on behalf of their two schools, Avonbourne and Harewood colleges, as part of a school trip to the First World War battlefields.
